Paint Your Dreams



Supplies:

Tube of Choice - I am using the wonderful PinUpToons, you need a license to use his work, I purchased mine at CILM which is now closed, he is now with CDO
Mask - Any mask will work, I used WSL Mask #117  HERE
I used PSP x3 (any version will work)

“Paint Your Dreams” is a tagger size PTU scrap kit created by Creative Scraps by Crys and can be purchased from HERE or HERE

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~ Let's Begin!~

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 (we will resize and crop the extra later)
Flood fill with white

Settings will remain the same unless otherwise noted.

Copy and paste Frame as a new layer
Resize 75%

Open paper 1 and (or paper of choice)
Copy and paste paper as a new layer
Resize 70%
Arrange in the frame to your liking

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, click inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand -> 10 Pixels
Selections, Invert
Back on your paper layer hit delete
Selections, Select None

We are going to add the drop shadow to the frame at the end of the tutorial, because we're going to need to click inside the frame again to clean up the elements that are outside the frame.

I used the following elements from the kit, please use your creativity and add anything else you would like to your tag.
(Please refer to my tag for placement of the elements.)

Place these elements below the frame
Copy and paste grassy hill as a new layer
Position towards the bottom of the frame
Add Drop Shadow
V/H: 1
Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #808080

Copy and paste easel as a new layer
Resize 55%
Place middle of your tag
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste bottle 2 as a new layer
Resize 15%
Position at the base of the easel so it looks like it is leaning against it
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste flowers2 as a new layer
Image, Mirror
Resize 25%
Position towards the left side of the frame
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste flower2 as a new layer
Image, Mirror
Resize 25%
Position next to flowers2
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste flower3 as a new layer
Resize 25%
Position behind the other flowers
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste leaves as a new layer
Resize 25%
Position behind the flowers
Add Drop Shadow

**Note** make sure your flowers are below the grassy hill layer

Using the selection tool
Selection Type: Rectangle
Mode: Add (Shift)
Feather: 0
Anti-alias: Checked
Draw a rectangle around the canvas on the easel


Open paper 14
Resize 25%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position inside the marching ants to your liking
(try to make it look like you are painting the flowers you positioned earlier)
Selections, Invert
Hit delete
Image, Free Rotate, Left -> 5 degrees
Position on the canvas on the easel

Copy And Paste butterflies2 as a new layer
Resize 35%
Position above the flowers
Move layer to just above paper layer

Copy and paste flowers as a new layer
Resize 35%
Position on the right-hand side of the frame
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Arrange over the original
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Add Drop Shadow

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, click inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand -> 10 Pixels
Selections, Invert
Hit delete on any layer in the layer palette that has edges hanging outside the frame area.
Selections, Select None

On your frame layer
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste tube of choice
Resize To Whatever Fits Best I Resized Mine By 70%
Add Drop Shadow

Make sure you're on the background
Layers, New Raster Layer
Open paper of choice I used paper 7
Edit, Copy
Back on your tag
Selections, Select All
Edit, Paste, Paste Into The Election
Selections, Select None

Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask From Disk
Source Luminance Checked, Fit To Canvas Checked, Hide All Mask Checked
Click Load
Layers, Merge, Merge Group (On The Mask Layer)


Close off the background layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible


On the tag layer
Resize 80% (Or To Whatever Size You Like Your Tags)
Add Your Copyright Information.

Add Name.

That's it, you are done!

Pixie With Attitude


Supplies:

Tube of Choice - I am using the wonderful artwork of Caron Vinson, you need a license to use her work, I purchased mine at CILM which is now closed, she is now with CDO
Mask - Any circular mask will work, I used DBV Masks #135 HERE
I used PSP x3 (any version will work)

~ Let's Begin!~


Settings will remain the same unless otherwise noted.
Open Frame 2
Resize 85%
Layers, New Raster Layer
Flood fill new layer with white
Layers, Arrange, Send To Bottom

Open paper 3 and (or paper of choice)
Copy and paste paper as a new layer
Arrange in the frame to your liking

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, click inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand -> 5 Pixels
Selections, Invert
Back on your paper layer hit delete
Selections, Select None

Position towards the right of the house so it looks like a lantern above the door

Copy and paste element 22 as a new layer
Resize 20%
Position towards the right of the house
Add Drop Shadow
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror

Copy and paste element 36 as a new layer
Resize 25%
Place on the left side of your tag
Add Drop Shadow
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror

Copy and paste element 13 as a new layer
Position towards the bottom of your tag

Copy And Paste Element 50 As A New Layer
Resize 20%

These elements will be on top of the frame layer
Copy and paste element 30 as a new layer
Resize 40%
Position on the top left-hand of the frame
Add Drop Shadow
Image, Duplicate
Image, Flip
Image, Free Rotate, Right, 90°
Position on top left-hand of the frame overlapping slightly with the original
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Image, Flip

Copy and paste element 27 as a new layer
Resize 70%
Position on top left-hand of the frame overlapping element 30
Add Drop Shadow
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Image, Flip

Copy and paste element 60 as a new layer
Resize 25%
Position on the top of the house
Add Drop Shadow

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, click inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand -> 5 Pixels
Selections, Invert
Hit delete on any layer in the layer palette that has edges hanging outside the frame area.
Selections, Select None

On your frame layer
Add Drop Shadow

Close off the background layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible

Copy and paste tube of choice
Resize To Whatever Fits Best I Resized Mine By 80%
Add Drop Shadow

While On Any Layer In The Palette
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Resize 80% (Or To Whatever Size You Like Your Tags)
Open the background layer back up
Make sure you're on the background
Layers, New Raster Layer
Open paper of choice i used paper 5
Edit, Copy
Back on your tag
Selections, Select All
Edit, Paste, Paste Into The Election
Selections, Select None

Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask From Disk
Source Luminance Checked, Fit To Canvas Checked, Hide All Mask Checked
Click Load
Layers, Merge, Merge Group (On The Mask Layer)
I duplicated my mask to make it a little darker

Add Your Copyright Information.

Add Name.

That's it, you are done!

Watermelon Fantasy


Supplies:

Tube of Choice - I am using the wonderful art of Ismael Rac, you need a license to use his work you can find it HERE
Xero Filter Porcelain
I used PSP x3 (any version will work)

“Watermelon Fantasy” is a tagger size PTU scrap kit created by Creative Scraps by Crys and can be purchased from HERE or HERE

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.



~ Let's Begin!~

Settings will remain the same unless otherwise noted.

Open a new canvas 600x600
Flood fill background with white

Open frame6 (or frame of choice)
Copy and paste frame as a new layer
Resize 70%

Open paper 6 (or paper of choice)
Copy and paste paper as a new layer

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, click inside the frame
Selections, modify, expand -> 4 pixels
Selections, invert
Back on your paper layer hit delete
Selections, select none

I used the following elements from the kit, please use your creativity and add anything else you would like to your tag.
(Please refer to my tag for placement of the elements.)

These elements are below the frame and paper layers
Copy and paste vine as a new layer
Resize 70%
Position the vine to the left of your tag
Layers, duplicate
Image, mirror
Layers, merge, merge down
Add Drop Shadow
V/H: 1
Opacity: 60, Blur: 5, Color: #808080

Copy and paste grass as a new layer
Resize 80%
Position the grass to the left of your tag
Layers, duplicate
Image, mirror
Layers, merge, merge down
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste flowers4 as a new layer
Resize 60%
Position the flowers to the left of your tag
Layers, duplicate
Image, mirror
Layers, merge, merge down
Add drop shadow

This element is below the frame layer and above the paper layer
Copy and paste butterfly scatter2
Position to your liking

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, click inside the frame
Selections, modify, expand -> 4 pixels
Selections, invert
Back on your butterfly scatter layer hit delete
Selections, select none
Lower the opacity to 59%

These elements will be above the frame layer
Copy and paste vine as a new layer
Image, free rotate, right, 90°
Resize 40%
Place along the bottom of your tag
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste greenery2 as a new layer
Resize 40%
Image, free rotate, right, 30°
Place along the bottom of your tag
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste flowers as a new layer
Resize 60%
Place on the left side of your tag
Using the using the eraser tool, erase a little of the stem that hangs below the bottom of the frame
Add drop shadow
Layers, duplicate
Image, mirror a
Arrange alongside the original, moving it up towards the top of the tag

Copy and paste roses as a new layer
Resize 30%
Place along the bottom of the tag
Layers, duplicate
Image, flip

Copy and paste mushroom2 as a new layer
Resize 30%
Place on lower left side of the tag
Image, mirror
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste watermelon whole as a new layer
Resize 23%
Place to the right of mushroom2
Image, free rotate, right, 15°
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste watermelon half as a new layer
Image, mirror
Resize 20%
Place over watermelon whole
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste mushroom as a new layer
Resize 25%
Place over watermelon half
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
The tube should be directly above the frame layer

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, click inside the frame
Selections, modify, expand -> 4 pixels
Selections, invert

Using the eraser tool erase anything in between the marching ants
Selections, select none

On the tube layer
Effects, plug-ins, xero, porcelain
Change the blue channel to 0, all other settings remain the same
Add drop shadow

Copy and paste scatter above the background layer
Resize 75%
Place towards the top of the tag
Layers, duplicate
Image, flip
Place towards the bottom of the tag

Close the background layer
while on any layer
layers, merge, merge visible
resize 80% (or to whatever size you like your tags)

Add your copyright information.
Add name.

That's it, you are done!

Shades of November


Supplies:

Font of choice – mine is CAC Pinafore you can find it HERE
Mask - WSL Mask #4 HERE

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.


~ Let's Begin!~

Settings will remain the same unless otherwise noted.

Open up a new canvas 600 x 600

 Flood fill your canvas with white


Open frame 3 (or frame of choice)
Copy and paste frame as a new layer
Resize 85%



Open paper 13 (or paper of choice)
Copy and paste as a new layer

Resize 70%



Using the magic wand on your frame layer, Click inside the frame
Selections > Modify > Expand -> 4 pixels
Selections > Invert
Back on your paper layer, Hit Delete
Selections > Select None

Move to the bottom half of your tag
Duplicate the grass layer
Resize Duplicate layer 80% (placement is above the original layer)
Arrange so the duplicated layer is a bit lower
Add Drop Shadow
V/H: 1
Opacity: 60, Blur: 5, Color: Black

Copy and log as a new layer
Resize 35%
place under both grass layers
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste tree as a new layer
Resize 40%
place under the bushes
Add Drop Shadow
V/H: 1
Opacity: 60, Blur: 5, Color: #808080

Copy and paste little girl as a new layer
Resize 40%
place between the grass layers so she looks like she is walking in the grass
Add Drop Shadow
V/H: 1
Opacity: 60, Blur: 5, Color: Black

Copy and paste sun as a new layer
Resize 40%
place top half of tag, change blend mode to soft light on your layer palette

Copy and paste fox as a new layer
Resize 27%
sit the fox on the log
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste flowers as a new layer
place on top of the bushes layer
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste bush as a new layer
Resize 20%
place on the bottom half of the tag right under the frame layer to fill in the stem of the frame

If you haven't done so, save your tag before we get rid of the edges, in case you make a mistake you will have your original


Close off the following three layers
Frame, Paper and Background
Click on any of the other open layers
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
Then open all the layers back up

Using the magic wand on your frame layer, Click inside the frame
Selections > Modify > Expand -> 4 pixels
Selections > Invert
Back on your merged layer, Hit Delete
Selections > Select None

On Frame Layer
Add Drop Shadow


Open up paper 2 (or paper of choice)

Copy and paste above the background layer
Resize 70%
Layers > Load/Save Mask > Load Mask from Disk
Source Luminance Checked, Fit to Canvas Checked, Hide All Mask Checked
Click Load

Layers > Merge > Merge Group on the mask Layer

Close off the background layer,
Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

Resize 80% (Optional Depends on the size you like your tags)

Add your copyright information.

Add name.

You are done

Spring Day Forum Tag

Supplies:

This tutorial was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

~ Let's Begin!~

Settings will remain the same unless otherwise noted.

Open up a new canvas 600 x 250

Open paper 3 -> resize 80%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Adjust the paper to your liking


I used the following elements from the kit, please use your creativity and add anything else you would like to your tag. 
(Please refer to my tag for placement of the elements)

Copy and paste hill as a new layer, move to the bottom half of your tag.
Add Drop Shadow
V/H: 1
Opacity: 60, Blur: 5, Color: #808080

Copy and paste house (or color of choice) as a new layer
Resize 50% -> place in the right side of your tag
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste tree 1 as a new layer -> Resize 50% -> place along the left side of the tag.
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste mushroom 2 as a new layer -> Resize 20%
Mirror, place at the base of the tree
Add Drop Shadow
Duplicate, mirror, Resize -> 80%
Place next to the original

Copy and paste vines 2 as a new layer -> Resize 25%
place on the roof of the house
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste stump as a new layer -> Resize 25%
place on the hill near the house
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste little girl 2 as a new layer -> Resize 30%
sit her on the stump
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste grass as a new layer -> Resize 27%
place at the base of the house
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste flowers 3 as a new layer
place on the bottom half of the tag, make sure it is the top layer
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste little girl as a new layer -> Resize 30%
place at the bottom of the tag towards the left side
Add Drop Shadow

Copy and paste cloud as a new layer -> Resize 25%
place on top of the tag more towards the left and hanging a bit off the edge
Add Drop Shadow
Change the blend mode to Screen and lower the opacity to 79%
Duplicate, mirror, move it to the right a bit
You need to bring it below the little girl 2 layer if it overlaps her a little

To make sure there are no unseen bits and pieces hanging off the edge of your workplace
let's crop the tag to selection
Selection Tool > Custom Selection
Left: 0
Top: 0
Right: 600
Bottom: 250
Image > Crop to Selection (Shift+R)

Open a paper to use as your border, I selected paper 5 to match the roof of the house
Copy your paper
Make sure you are on the top layer of your tag and
Layers > New Raster layer
Selections > Select All
Copy and Paste into Selection
Selections > Modify > Contract -> 3 pixels
Hit the delete key
Deselect.
Add Drop Shadow
V/H: 1
Opacity: 60, Blur: 5, Color: #000000

Add your copyright information.

Add name.

You are done!
